How to remove the ecu

The T4 ECU requires two 10mm sockets, and one 13mm , one bolt is a 'deep socket', remove the battery, slide the locking slides out, remove the connectors carefully, then unbolt it and pop it out.

The T4E is 10mm all around, the connectors have a nipple on the bottom side that has to be depressed then the locking mechanism will slide open, and push the connectors off.

The intercooled S requires the U bend to be removed, 6mm is normal for the jubilee/hose clamps, it just slides off when its loosened, first time is a bit sticky.

T4E ECU connectors, these have to be slid open, and the connector will push it off the ECU side easily.

Don't let your buddies, buddy track your car ;)

T4E ECU tab, this is what you need to push to let the connectors slide open, the piece in the middle thats cut out.
